Absolute Label Services has been named as one of only a handful of recommended digital distributors by Spotify.
The streaming platform has a defined set of standards for artist and label distributors, and recommends companies with practices that work well with both artists and Spotify.
Artist and label distributors are recommended by Spotify when they demonstrate an ability to provide quality metadata and protect against copyright infringement.
Absolute’s Head Of Digital Operations, Dianne Bonney, said: “As streaming establishes itself as the dominant format of the modern day music business, it cannot be overstated how crucial quality metadata is to artists and labels, and how its importance will only increase over time.
“Absolute Label Services is proud to offer comprehensive label and distribution services to all of our clients and we’re pleased that our commitment to delivering only the highest quality assets and metadata is being recognised by Spotify.”
Founded in 1998, Absolute is one of the world’s most established independent label services companies.
