Following Facebook’s announcement that music is now integrated into the search function on Instagram, we’ve broken down all the key bits you need to know!
Previously to find tracks, you had to create a new Story and then go to the music sticker. With Facebook’s audio in global search feature, you can skip directly to music to use in Reels via the explore tab on Instagram, making it easier for users to search for songs on the platform. You can also see all the other Reels created using a track – another great tool for artists to see the content users are making with their songs!
To access global search on Instagram, users should:
- Make sure you are using the most recent version of the Instagram app on your mobile device.
- Open Instagram app
- Go to the explore tab
- Tap on search bar to open Instagram search
- Tap on the audio tab to access search results
- Tap on results to be taken to the song’s audio page where you will see Reels that use it
