How do I add lyrics to my release?

Absolute Project will prompt you to add lyrics to your tracks during the new release setup process.

When transcribing lyrics, it is important to separate the lyrical sections and changes within a song with line and section breaks.

All lyric lines must begin with a capital letter. Capitalisation in your lyrics should follow traditional grammar rules. Proper nouns must be capitalised

There should be no full stops or commas at the end of any lyric line. Exclamation points, question marks, and quotation marks should be the only end-line punctuation and should be included as needed.

Background vocals should be wrapped in parentheses at the end of a line, with the first letter capitalized

The lyrics should match the audio. If a line is repeated, it should be written out. (Repeat x3) will not be accepted

If the track is explicit, all explicit language must be transcribed as it is heard in the audio.

You should also consider supplying your lyrics directly to Musixmatch.

To add lyrics to a previous release please contact your label manager.

  • Dolby Atmos master file must be provided as a BWF ADM file using 24fps timecode for all tracks.
  • All audio must be 24-bit LPCM audio at 48kHz.
  • All deliverables must be conformed and synced to the original stereo reference masters.
  • Target Loudness value should not exceed -18 LKFS measured as per ITU-R BS. 1770-4.

    • Each album track must be delivered as an individual BWF ADM file.
    • Each track boundary must be no more than half a frame (1,000 samples @ 48 kHz) earlier or later than the same track boundary in the corresponding stereo deliverable.
    • There must be no additional silence at the end of each track when compared to the same track from the corresponding stereo deliverable.
