What is a YouTube Official Artist Channel?
If you’re an artist on YouTube, your Official Artist Channel (OAC) brings together all your subscribers and content from your different YouTube channels into one place.
OAC’s increase discoverability and provide a unified presence on YouTube and a single destination for fans to find and engage with you through your channel.
With an OAC, not only will you be able to access 100% of your audience on YouTube, your fans will know that your channel is genuine because your channel will receive a music note badge to symbolise a verified official artist channel.
What are the requirements for an OAC?
To apply for an OAC you must:
- Own and operate a YouTube channel that represents one artist or band
- Have at least three official releases on YouTube delivered and distributed by a music distributor or label
- Your channel must follow YouTube’s policies, including YouTube’s Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and copyright policies
If you meet the above requirements, please speak to your label manager at Absolute who can help you to request an OAC.
