How are these numbers calculated?
This formula is a good way to calculate how many Instant Gratification tracks you can have on your release:
(Album Price – Track Price) / (Track Price x 1.2 (this deals with currency issues)) = Max Number of IGs
For example, if we had an Album priced at £7.99:
(£7.99 – £0.99) = £7
Divided by
(£0.99 x 1.2) = £1.188
= 5.89 (always round down)
The maximum number of instant grats permitted on this release would be five.
