This guide will walk you through the key features of how to use and edit a Slinky that you have requested for an upcoming release
Slinky Details/Stats
This is the first page you’ll find when opening a Slinky from a product page
Here you’re able to switch your Slinky from Active to Inactive after it has been created – you’ll receive an email prompting you to do this after your Slinky has been created, after which you’ll need to make your Slinky active in order for it to go live
You’ll also be able to view statistics on the performance of your Slinky and download all Pre-Save Emails in the form of a csv
From here, you can either Edit Slinky or Open Slinky
Edit Slinky
This page is broken into three sections; customise, links, tracking
On all pages, you’ll see a preview of your Slinky on the right, where you can change the date to see what the Slinky will look like on a date in the future, say after release
customise
On this page, you can:
-
-
- Edit the URL of your Slinky
- Edit the Page Title and Subtitle
- Add a playable YouTube link
- You can adjust it’s position on the Slinky
- Customise the display start and end date/time
- Add a Spotify Player
- Customise the display start and end date/time
- Customise your background
- Customise your Favicon (URL icon)
- Switch on the Countdown feature
- View connected artists
-
links
This page is where you can sync, edit, add, remove or update the links on your Slinky
By hitting ‘Sync now’, you’ll be able to get an up to date set of links that have arrived with DSPs – some of these links take a little time after delivery, and will only display once the link leads to a page. For example, if a Pre-Order start date has not passed, the link will not appear.
Each link can be customised for pre and post release, with changeable Call to Action, link and release dates.
There are a predetermined list of stores to choose from, if your desired store isn’t there, please let us know
You can also add Social Media links here – you’ll only need to add the second half of the of the URL here, not the domain name e.g. facebook.com/artistprofile
tracking
If you have Custom Tracking Links, this is the page to set this up on. A majority of users will not use this but if you do, this is where to add the details needed
Open Slinky
Here you will see a preview of your Slinky with the prefix https://anthology.to/slinkypublic/
If you follow the link in the banner at the top of the page, you’ll have the option to copy the live URL of your Slinky, or be taken to the Slinky
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to slinky@absolutelabelservices.com
